Dunhill Links
Challenge 2006
The Dunhill Links Challenge for 2006 was held over the great
links golf courses of the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
The Irishman Padraig Harington deservedly won for the second
time in four years.
I had some interesting company on the final day with my amateur
player Mr. Grant Andrews partnering the Frenchman Gregory
Harvet and playing in the same group as the flamboyant Englishman
Ian Poulter.

A fantastic golf hole the 17th at St. Andrews will
never disappoint for excitement & drama. Mr. Andrews hit
a good solid drive, played his second short of the green &
chipped up leaving a 7 foot putt for par.
Ian Poulter played
a super drive though landed a wee bit on the left side of
the fairway making a difficult approach to the pin. A glorious
iron with a gentle draw around the Road Hole Bunker lands
within 5 feet! Simple really.

Ian Poulter playing his approach shot into the 17th 'Road' green, watched by a very still me!

Ian Poulter, Gregory Harvet, Mr. Andrews and me (caddie) as we prepare to putt out on the 17th green.
