Planning Your Tour

1. Is the Old Course at St. Andrews a must play?

If so Caddie Golf Tours can assist in getting secured Old Course tee times through our contacts alternatively the Old Course Ballot system for tee times can be used. Caddie Golf Tours are happy to discuss and advise you on the best way to secure tee times using both routes.

2. When do you contact Caddie Golf Tours?

I am always delighted to advise about your tour when you require it though there is an argument to plan in advance. I would suggest that the participants names and potential dates for the golf tour be with Caddie Golf Tours by beginning of September the year before play.

3.  How long is the tour to last: a long weekend, one week, two weeks?

A question that the group as a whole must answer...work & family are usually the over-riding factors. The majority of golf tours last seven days and include six or seven rounds of golf which is usually enough considering we normally play once a week at home. I would advise staying in a maximum of two locations as there is no need to be constantly travelling during a one week tour.

Barcelo Marine Hotel at Troon.

4.  Accommodation:  Bed & Breakfast, House, Hotel?

With excellent relationships with many of Scotland's hotels, lodges and B&B's including the world reknowned Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews and the Marine Hotel in Troon. Our extensive knowledge of accommodation around Scotland is available for you to tap into.

5. Self drive or guided with personalised driver?

Caddie Golf Tours have a good relationship and contract with Scotland's best vehicle hire company, Arnold Clarke, that supplies excellent rates for self drive vehicles which we  pass onto our clients. Alternatively a driver and coach can be organised for your tour if you would prefer the 'no hassle' transport version.
