Golf Tour Planning

When do you contact Caddie Golf Tours?

Why not contact us now. Please send an email to caddiegolftours@gmail.com and we can begin to plan your 2024 and 2025 golf trip to Scotland.

If the Old Course St Andrews is a must play Caddie Golf Tours will concentrate on securing tee times here at St. Andrews and the local Ballot will be the route to gain access to the Old Course this year. The following link explains the Old Course St Andrews Ballot

The St Andrews Links Trust do offer the visiting golfer an opportunity to apply for Old Course tee times for the following year's golf season through their 'Private Advance Tee Time' application, usually open in late August. Contact Caddie Golf tours for more information.

How long is the tour to last: 1 or 2 days, a weekend or a week?

How long is the golf tour? A question the golfers must answer, work & family are usually the over-riding factors. From experience we have found that a seven day golf tour to include 5 - 7 rounds of golf is usually plenty for those travelling from overseas. We would recommend staying in a maximum of two locations rather than constantly moving, unpacking and packing. Stay awhile and enjoy your golf.

Scotland is a fabulous golf destination. With international flights into the main hubs at Edinburgh and Glasgow, and our local airports at Glasgow Prestwick, Inverness and Aberdeen are also well served from Europe and long haul destinations making golf in Scotland ideal for short golf trips and we can prepare one, two and three night stay and play golf offers for you.

Accommodation:  Bed & Breakfast, House, Hotel or Castle?

We have excellent relationships with the leading hotels in St Andrews including the 5* Rusacks Marine & Lawn, 5* Fairmont Hotel, the delightful Ardgowan Hotel and the excellent Hotel Du Vin in St. Andrews, along with our favourites in the Highlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Self drive or guided with personalised driver?

A driver and coach can be organised for your tour if you would prefer the 'no hassle' transport version. We use the experienced dedicated transport operators St Andrews Executive Travel and Courtney Travel who can provide luxury coaches to accommodate groups of 8 - 24 golfers. For smaller golf parties of 1 - 8 golfers we have my good friends at James Herkes Golf Travel, Mylet Travel and Silver Swan Travel to assist with their fleet of luxury tourers.

If you wish to explore and self drive Caddie Golf Tours have a special relationship, and contract, with Arnold Clark Scotland's best vehicle hire company, who supply excellent rates for self drive vehicles which we  pass onto our clients.
